On August 21, 2021, the Young and the Climate – the role of representatives of the younger generation in creating a sustainable Poland of the future conference was held in Warsaw, organized by the Institute for the Development of Legal Education and Civil Society as part of the New Generation Dialogue program and V4SDG – Visegrad for Sustainability.

The conference aimed to address topics relevant to the 21st century and offer young people a space for knowledge and discussion. After the event was opened by IREPSO President Rafal Nasuto, Presidential Advisor for Youth Affairs Lukasz Rzepecki took the floor and emphasized the importance of youth participation in climate action. The first part of the event was a debate on the legal aspects of climate change, with the participation of Maja Frontczak (GESSEL Law Firm), Marcin Kowalczyk (WWF Poland), Weronika Szyszka (United Nations Association – Poland) and Julia Kozakiewicz (ClientEarth – Lawyers for the Earth). The debate on the issue of climate lawsuits, among others, was moderated by Piotr Drzewiecki of IREPSO. Later, Jakub Wiech, deputy editor-in-chief of Energetyka24, gave a lecture on nuclear energy.
